Tom Cruise has broken up with his girlfriend Elsina Khayrova, having ended the relationship with the Russian socialite to avoid issues with her outspoken oligarch ex.

After dating news of Cruise, 61, and Khayrova, 36, was made public, her ex-husband Dmitry Tsvetkov spoke to Daily Mail.

The international diamond trader warned the Mission Impossible star to 'keep his wallet wide open' – because she has 'expensive and luxurious tastes'.

The Russian oligarch claims that he spent £10 million on clothes, and £2 million on handbags during their 11-year marriage. He also added that Khayrova is difficult to please.

“Irrespective of whoever she's with, Tom Cruise or anybody else, they should be aware that she likes the finer things in life and has expensive and luxurious taste. Tom should keep his eyes and wallet wide open,” he told the outlet.

A source close to the actor shared that the article worried their team

“He’s filming and can’t be shooting and have her husband saying stuff every time he is mentioned in the press. They just didn’t want to deal with the ex-husband coming up with something nasty to say every few weeks,” the source confessed.

Tsetkov, who prefers to be called tycoon rather than oligarch, also claimed that his three-year divorce battle cost him £150 million and his fortune dwindled from £200 million to £50 million.

Cruise and Khayrova split in late February.

“There are no hard feelings between them and, for Tom, their relationship simply ran its course,” a source close to the pair said.

However, it has been reported that Khayrova is still hopeful of rekindling her romance with the Hollywood star.

“She didn’t do anything wrong,” a source revealed.

Elsina Khayrova is the daughter of Russian politician Rinat Khayrova, who is an ally of Russian President Vladamir Putin.

Meanwhile, the socialite is enjoying her life, which she showcases on her Instagram page.

“A woman’s energy is reflected in her daily practice of loving, appreciating, and accepting herself, as well as recognizing her own worth,” she captioned an Instagram post.

Khayrova and Cruise were first spotted publicly in December 2024 in London’s Grosvenor Square.

They had reportedly met when Khayrova’s friend brought her to one of Cruise’s Sunday tea parties.
