Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister found dead at 62

Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister, well known for appearing in The Fifth Element and Friday, has died. He was 62.
The actor, who also was a professional wrestler was found unresponsive in his apartment in Marina del Rey, California, his manager Cindy Cowan confirmed. In recent days, he has displayed symptoms of COVID-19. He had been working on a film but had to cancel the shooting after falling ill.
“He was a wonderful guy with a heart of gold. Everyone loved him. A real gentle giant,” Cowan said, “We’re all devastated.”

Lister, who was blind in his right eye, also had appearances in the films The Dark Knight, Jackie Brown, The Players Club, and Posse. In the pilot of Star Trek: Enterprise he portrayed Klaang, the first Klingon to make contact with humans. He had also appeared in music videos for artists including French Montana, 50 Cent, Sublime, Ice Cube, Chamillionaire, and Young Bleed.
Tommy Lister is survived by a daughter.
