Early Days

While still a student at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, she won the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year Award. Her first role was in a 2016 episode of Call the Midwife, followed by an appearance in the BBC miniseries Les Misérables (2018).

Films, TV Series

In 2019, Erin Doherty landed the role of young Princess Anne in the third season of the Netflix drama The Crown. This is her breakthrough role, which she portrayed until 2020.

Moreover, she is a theatre actor as well. She has worked in a number of productions at some of London's leading theatres, including My Name Is Rachel Corrie, Jack Thorne's play Junkyard, and Alan Ayckbourn's play The Divide, to name a few.

Since then, Doherty has starred in the films Firebrand (2023), Reawakening (2024), and in the TV series Chloe (2022), A Thousand Blows (2024-2025).
