Arison’s interest in theatre grew at an early age. While in 6th grade, he received his school’s Drama Club Award and the Founder’s Council Fine Arts Award in Acting during his senior year in high school.
He appeared in theatre plays in New York including the plays Hamlet, Why Torture is Wrong and the People Who Love Then, Queen’s Boulevard, Modern Orthodox, and The Muscles in Our Toes. Moreover, Amir Arison has also worked in regional theatres such as The Shakespeare Theatre, The Huntington, Olney Theatre Center, Yale Repertory, and Shakespeare Theatre of St. Louis, to name a few.

Amir Arison’s debut role was in a 2004 episode of the TV series The Jury as Tariq Ahmed. This was followed by appearances in the TV series Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2005-2007), As the World Turns (2008), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2005-2011), Homeland (2011), True Justice (2012), The Mentalist (2012), Zero Hour (2012), H+ (2012-2013), The Dropout (2022), etc
He has also starred in the films Day Zero (2007), Anamorph (2007), Today's Special (2009), Vamps (2012), Before The Sun Explodes (2016), Girls (2014), and 20 Weeks (2017), among others.
