Born to a father who was a contractor, Marunde was exposed to construction work and the real estate business from an early age. She had bought her first home at the age of 20 and worked as a gymnastics instructor at the age of 14. She has been a licensed real estate agent in Nevada since 2006.

In her adult years, she started her career as a real estate agent.
