Penny had moved to Vancouver to pursue a career in acting. After graduating from college, he went on to portray minor roles in TV series including Jake 2.0 (2003), Supernatural (2006), The L Word (2005-2006), Whistler (2006), Stargate: Atlantis (2008), and in films LTD. (2005), Thomas Kinkade's Home for Christmas (2008), Betsy's Kindergarten Adventures (2008).

Movies, Series

Since 2009 Brendan Penny has starred in films I Love You, Beth Cooper (2009), and Held Hostage (2009). His work is much more prominent on TV. He has been cast as the main character in The Assistants (2009-2010), Chesapeake Shores (2016-present), and a supporting role in Motive (2012-2016). 

Most of all he is known for starring in a series of Hallmark Channel TV movies such as Along Came a Nanny (2014), In the Vineyard Series (2016-2019), A Dash of Love (2017), and The Secret Ingredient (2020).
