Who is Chang Chen?
Chang Chen, aka Chen Chang, is an actor, singer by profession, and Taiwanese by nationality. Other famous names in his family include his father Chang Kuo-chu and his brother Hans Chang.

Chang Chen’s birth took place on 14 October 1976 in Taipei, Taiwan. He was born to his father Chang Kuo-Chu and his mother Chao Hsin-Jan. He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, a brother named Hans Chang.

It was previously speculated that Shu Qi had vouched to marry Chang Chen if she was still single at the age of 35. Chang Chen too also admitted to having "strong feelings for her".
In March 2015 he announced that he and his wife have welcomed a child together – a daughter Yuan Yuan Chang. Currently, the couple is living a blissful marriage. There have been rumors of divorce.

Early Days
Born to a family of actors, Chen began his career at a young age. His debut role was in the Taiwanese films Helpless Taste (1980), and Dark Night (1986). His first recognized role was in the 1991 film A Brighter Summer Day, which was critically acclaimed.
Films, TV Series
Over the years Chang Chen has starred in dozens of Chinese / Taiwanese films. Some are namely Mahjong (1996), Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), Chinese Odyssey (2002), The Go Master (2006), Red Cliff (2008), Red Cliff: Part 2 (2009), The Assassin (2015), etc. His first appearance in a TV series was in the 2019 episode of Love and Destiny as Jiu Chen.
In 2020 he made his Hollywood debut, starring in the film Dune as Dr. Wellington Yueh. Moreover, Chen is also a musician and directed the 2014 Hong Kong film Three Charmed Lives.
