Chris Rock – Age, Parents, Siblings
Chris Rock was born on February 7, 1965, in Andrews, South Carolina, the U.S. His birth name/full name is Christopher Julius Rock III. His father’s name is Christopher Julius Rock Jr. and his mother’s name is Rosalie Rock. His father was a truck driver and newspaper deliveryman while his mother was a teacher and social worker.
Chris Rock has six younger brothers named Tony Rock, Kenny Rock, Andre Rock, Brian Rock, and Jordan Rock, and most are all in show business. He was raised along with his siblings in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. He also has an older half-brother named Charles Rock who died in 2006 due to alcoholism.
Education, Ethnicity
As he was growing up, Rock was a victim of bullying and beatings from white students. While at James Madison High School, the beating and bullying became so severe that his parents were forced to pull him out of the school.
Soon Chris Rock dropped out of high school but later on earned a General Educational Development (GED).

Chris Rock was a married man. He was married to his wife Malaak Compton-Rock and they officially tied the knot on November 23, 1996. Compton is the founder and executive director of StyleWorks.
They have two daughters together. Their first daughter Lola Simone Rock was delivered on June 28, 2002, and their second daughter named Zahra Savannah Rock was born on May 22, 2004. They also have a daughter named Ntombi-futhi who they have been raising since she was a baby. But there is a bit of controversy on Ntombi's adoption status by the Rock family.
After 18 years of marriage, Chris Rock announced in December 2014 that he had filed for divorce from his wife Compton. He had admitted that he had not been faithful to his wife and had cheated on her with three different women. He also admitted that he was struggling with addiction to adult movies. Their divorce was finalized on August 22, 2016.
He was in a relationship with his girlfriend Megalyn Echikunwoke, an actress who is 18 years younger than him. They started dating in February 2016. The couple separated after four years together in March 2020.
He began dating Lake Bell in early 2022. However, in 2023, Rock admitted that they had broken up.

Chris Rock – Career
Early Days
After he dropped out of school, he did several jobs at fast-food joints. Chris Rock began doing comedy in 1984 in New York City's Catch a Rising Star. Soon he was featured in the film I’m Gonna Git You Sucka and the TV series Miami Vice.
His act was observed in a nightclub by Eddie Murphy who immediately recognized his talent. So Eddie befriended, mentored, and gave Rock his role in the movie Beverly Hills Cop II. In 1990 he was cast as a member of Saturday Night Live.

Over the years he has appeared in In Living Color, CB4, Bring the Pain, N****s vs. Black People, Bigger & Blacker (1999), Never Scared (2004), and The Chris Rock Show, among others.
In addition to being a talented comedian, Rock's acting skills are prominent. He has played roles in movies such as Head of State (2003), The Longest Yard (2005), Madagascar (2005–2012), Grown Ups (2010), Grown Ups 2 (2013), Top Five (2014),
His comedy albums Born Suspect (1991), Roll with the New (1997), Bigger & Blacker (1999), and Never Scared (2005) were a huge success and each a stepping stone to a well-established career.
Rock hosted the 77th Academy Awards in 2005 and the 88th Academy Awards in 2016. Rock has been awarded four Emmy Awards and three Grammy Awards for his work so far.
