Who is CJ Jones?
CJ Jones is a deaf actor by profession and American by nationality. He is best known for starring in the films Baby Driver, Avatar: The Way of Water, and in the TV series Castle Rock, This Close, Everything’s Gonna Be Okay.
CJ Jones – Age, Parents, Siblings
CJ Jones was born on September 29, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, USA as Charles Paul Jones. His father’s name is Clarence Jones and his mother’s name is Ruth Jones. Although both of his parents are deaf and communicate in American Sign Language (ASL), he and all his six siblings were not born deaf. However, at the age of 7, he was diagnosed with spinal meningitis which resulted in him losing his hearing.
He has been an advocate for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the media.

For education, CJ Jones attended Missouri School for the Deaf. He later went to Rochester Institute of Technology in 1970 and graduated from the same in 1975 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Computer Programming. He was very active in sports and was even voted class valedictorian.
His ethnicity is African-American.

CJ Jones married his longtime girlfriend Cassandra Dwan Davis-Marsh on September 7, 2002. With his wife, he has two children but their names and gender have not been revealed to the public.

Early Days
Jones made his debut screen appearance in an episode of the TV series A Different World as CJ. He resumed his career as an actor in 2003 – as a junkie in an episode of the TV series Cold Case. This was followed by roles in the TV series Frasier (2003) as a customer #1, Lincoln Heights (2007) as Luther, and the short films White Space (2007) as Man on Platform, I Wrote That! Volume Two (2003), etc.
Finally, CJ Jones was cast as Joseph in the 2017 film Baby Driver which gained him attention in Hollywood.
