Who is Connor Swindells?

Connor Swindells is an actor, model by profession, and British by nationality. He is best known for his work in the TV series Sex Education, SAS: Rogue Heroes, and in the films The Vanishing, Emma, and Barbie.

Connor Swindells was born on 19 September 1996 in Lewes, East Sussex, England, UK. His full name is Connor Ryan Swindells, and his parents are Ian Swindells and Phoebe Swindells. He is not the only child and has three siblings- older brothers whose names have not been revealed to the public.

After his mother passed away from bowel cancer on July 14, 2004, he moved with his father and grandparents to West Chiltington and then to Billingshurst.

Education, Ethnicity

For education, Connor Swindells attended the Rydon Community College and Steyning Grammar School. At the age of 17, he dropped out of college.

His ethnicity is English.

Connor Swindells dated fellow actress Aimee Lou Wood in 2018. He and his girlfriend were in a relationship until 2020. 

In November 2022, it was reported that his current romantic partner is fellow actress Amber Anderson. The couple married in October 2024. He and his wife are yet to welcome children of their own.

There are no rumors of divorce surrounding the pair.

Early Days

Swindells’ acting career began after he saw an audition poster for a local play. After a friend of his dared him to audition, he did and landed the lead role. His debut screen role was in a 2017 episode of the TV series Harlots. This was followed by roles in the TV series Jamestown (2017) and in the films The Vanishing (2018), VS. (2018), etc.

Finally, he was cast as Adam Groff in the TV series Sex Education. He portrayed the character for 25 episodes, from 2019 to 2021, and it is considered his breakthrough role.

Since then, Connor Swindells has starred in the films Emma (2020), Barbarians (2021), Barbie (2023), Scoop (2024), and William Tell (2024), among others. Moreover, he has also portrayed characters in the episodes of the TV series Dodo (2021), Vigil (2021), Rogue Heroes (2022-2025), The Bombing of Pan Am 103 (2025), etc.
