She was raised in Muswell Hill, London.

As a young girl, Daisy Edgar-Jones accompanied her father to the set of Big Brother. She began acting at the age of 5 following participation in a school play.

Her debut role was as Kate in 2016 Outnumbered, a Christmas Special on BBC One. This was followed by the role of Olivia Marsden, a recurring character in the TV series Cold Feet (2016-2020).

Since then Daisy Edgar-Jones has had guest appearances in the TV series Silent Witness (2017), Gentleman Jack (2019), as the main role of Emily Gresham in War of the Worlds (2019), and as Marianne Sheridan in Normal People (2020), which is her breakthrough role.

Moreover, Edgar-Jones played Cassie in the 2018 drama film Pond Life. She has also acted in the theatre productions of The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2017) and Albion (2020).
