Dan Walker – Age, Parents, Siblings
Dan Walker was born on 19 March 1977 in Crawley, West Sussex, England. His full name/ birth name is Daniel Meirion Walker and he was born to his father Austin Walker but the name of his mother is not shared with the public.
Walker is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, a brother named Jeremy Walker.
He recalled his young days with his father,
"My Dad was always playing football with us as kids – booting the ball up in the air and getting us to control it and use both feet. He took me to Crawley Town matches nearly every Saturday afternoon, he always took a half-time apple – old school – and wore a ridiculous hat which had a feather in it!”
Other facts about his parents, siblings, and the rest of the family are not known.

Walker attended Ifield Primary School, Three Bridges Middle School, and Hazelwick Secondary School for his education. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in History in 1998 from the University of Sheffield. He also graduated from the same university in 1999 in 1999 with a Master’s degree in Journalism Studies.
His ethnicity includes English and Welsh.
Dan Walker – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce
Dan Walker is a happily married man. He has been married to Sarah Walker and married in 2001. They have been blessed with three children- daughters Susie, Jessica, and son Joe.
He said during an interview with Daily Mail in March 2018, he shared his days with his family,
“My wife Sarah and I moved to Sheffield last year because it’s played a big part in our lives – we both studied here and it’s where I began broadcasting. The kitchen is where we hang out with our children Susie, ten, Jessica, eight, and Joe, seven, and Winnie, our cockapoo rescue dog.”
Currently, the family resides in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The couple is living without rumors of extra-marital affairs and divorce.

Dan Walker – Career
Early Days
Walker’s broadcasting career began at Sheffield's Hallam FM. After a few years of experience as a sports presenter and commentator, he started to work for Manchester's Key 103 radio in the year 1999.
Dan Walker then went on to present on Television, his first job being as a commentator on the Football League Review show. He then went on to join BBC regional news program North West Tonight. A few years later in 2006, Walker started work in London and two further two years later in 2008, he began to present and report at Wimbledon, The Open, Aintree, Ascot, and The Derby.
Presenter at BBC
In August 2009, he was hired as the presenter of Football Focus, which he has continued to present as of 2019. Other shows he has presented are Afternoon Edition, Sports Relief’s segment, and The One Show, among others.
In 2016, it was announced that Dan Walker would be replacing Bill Turnbull as presenter of BBC Breakfast. His first show was aired on 29 February 2016 and is currently a presenter for the show alongside Louise Minchin, Charlie Stayt, and Naga Munchetty.
Charity work
Walker has a heart of gold! He has been involved with numerous charity organizations and events over the years namely Sheffield Children's Hospital charity. Every year, he hosts golf day for the charity and opened the £2.3 million MRI scanner in 2016.
