Chris Evans – Age, Parents, Siblings

Chris Evans was born on 1 April 1966 in Warrington, England. His birth name/ full name is Christopher James Evans. His mother’s name is Minnie Beardsall, who managed a corner shop and his father was Martin Joseph Evans, a health authority wages clerk. He is the youngest of 3 siblings. His older brother’s name is David Evans and his older sister’s name is Diane Evans.

Chris Evans attended the St Margaret's Church of England Infants and Junior School. Then he was educated at a Junior School in Orford, Warrington. He then passed the Eleven-Plus exam and joined Boteler Grammar School.

When he was just 13 years old, his father died due to colorectal cancer. So he had to take up a part-time at an outlet of T. J. & B. McLoughlin's newsagent in Woolston. Also, he worked in an alternative tuck shop at his high school, Padgate High School. He left Padgate High School at the age of 16.

His ethnicity is British.

Evans was in a relationship with girlfriend Alison Ward and was even engaged to her. Their daughter Jade was born in 1986. In the year 1998 after years of dispute, it was settled out-of-court whereby Chris Evans needed to provide a home for Jade and also give allowance to Ward.

Evans was married to Carol McGiffin, also a British broadcaster in 1991. They separated in 1994 and divorced in 1998.

When he worked as a host on BBC Radio 1, he had several high-profile relationship scandals. He was romantically linked with Kim Wilde, model Rachel Tatton-Brown, Suzi Aplin, Anthea Turner, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie Sykes.

In May 2000, he was dating teenage pop star, Billie Piper. Their relationship turned serious and Billie proposed to him on his 35^th birthday. They married on 6 May 2001. By September 2004, there were rumors that Chris Evans and Billie Piper were getting a divorce. The rumors were confirmed in 2005 and the divorce was finalized in May 2007. 

Soon he moved on with Natasha Shishmanian, a professional golfer, model, and columnist. The two married in August 2007 in Faro, Portugal.

Their first son Noah Nicholas Martin Evans was born in 2009 and their second son Eli Alfred Michael Evans was born in 2012. In April 2018, the couple announced that they were expecting twins. 

The twins Boo and Walt, nicknamed Ping and Pong, were born in September 2018. Also, he walked his daughter Jade down the aisle during her wedding.

Chris Evans – Career

Early Days

Chris’s career began in 1983 at Piccadilly Radio. He used to work there as an unpaid schoolboy. 

Over the years he did several odd jobs and one time before 1984, he had three jobs! He was an assistant to Timmy Mallett, DJ at local pubs, and also worked at newsagents to sort out their deliveries.

In 1984, he secured a full-time position at Piccadilly Radio. He has been working as a producer for many years. Some include- The Superstation, Weekend Breakfast, The Greenhouse, Round at Chris's (1991-1993), Too Much Gravy (1992), and The Big Breakfast (1992).

TV, Radio shows

In August 2002, Chris Evans opened a radio and television production company, called UMTV. He had said that if this failed, he would open a market stall. After UMTV was unsuccessful, he kept his word and opened a market stall at Stables Market, Camden.

 Over the years he hosted various shows on the radio and Television such as Radio 1 Breakfast Show, Virgin Radio Breakfast Show (1997), UK Radio Aid Breakfast Slot (2005), Radio 2's Drivetime Show (2006), The One Show (2010), Top Gear (2015-2016), Radio 2 breakfast show (January 2010- September 2018).

Evans left Radio 2 for Virgin Radio. He also revealed that he is the highest-paid presenter.
