Just after three years of marriage, the couple separated in 2004 and divorce was finalized on 31 May 2007. They did not have any children together and Piper did not claim any of Evans £50,000,000 wealth. In an interview with Radio Times, she said, "I'm not taking a penny from him. I think that's disgusting."
Billie Piper had added that she had little money, in spite of having hits, when she married Evans. Due to her vulnerable young age, people took advantage and ripped her off.

Piper’s career in the entertainment industry began at a young age. She was selected to appear no Scratchy & Co, a Saturday-morning children's TV show.
Later on, she spotted by Hugh Goldsmith, who was looking for a singer to take on the Spice Girls.
Before Piper gained international media attention, she was in a TV commercial of pop magazine Smash Hits. At the age of 14, in 1998, she was offered a three-album deal. Her music was released at the age of 15, making her the youngest artist ever to debut at number one in the UK Singles Chart with the single Because We Want To.
Her album Honey to the B was immediately released in 1998, which peaked at 14 in the UK album charts and was certified platinum. Her album Walk of Life was released in 2000.
