Who is Sam Hargrave?

Sam Hargrave is a stuntman, director, and actor by profession, and an American by nationality. He has worked as a stuntman and stunt coordinator for several Marvel Cinematic Universe films Avengers: Endgame and Captain America: Civil War, directed Extraction, and starred in the film Dhaka.

Sam Hargrave – Birth, Parents, Siblings

Sam Hargrave’s birth took place on November 27, 1982, in the USA. He was born to his mother, Elizabeth Hargrave, and his father, Doug Hargrave. He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings - a sister, Jess Hargrave, who is a California-based Charis Equestrian, and a brother, Daniel Hargrave, also a stuntman and stunt coordinator.

After graduating from high school, he went on to study at Alamance Community College in the early 2000s and later graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill. He received the Distinguished Alumni Award on May 28, 2015, from Alamance Community College. 

His ethnicity is Caucasian.

Sam Hargrave – Girlfriend, Wife, Children

Sam Hargrave was in a relationship with Kathryn Bigelow, also a director. He and his girlfriend dated for years before breaking up. He was also rumored to be in a relationship with stuntwoman Monique Ganderton.

As he is a private person, he has not revealed the identity of his current girlfriend, with whom he is quarantining on the Southern California coast during the 2020 pandemic.

Currently, Hargrave is dating stuntwoman Rachel McDermott. His partner announced her pregnancy with their first child in July 2022 and welcomed daughter Ronin Avery Hargrave in December 2022.

The couple's second child, daughter Logan Jean Hargrave, was born in December 2024.

As Hargrave has not yet married, he is sans wife, and divorce is out of context.

Stuntman

Hargrave has been working as a stuntman for years. Before he got into Hollywood, he worked at the framing shop - 71 Gallery in Hillsborough, North Carolina. 

He has worked as a stuntman in several Hollywood films, including the films The Hunger Games, The Accountant, Green Lantern, and the TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 

In the mid-2010s, he began working as a stunt coordinator and has co-ordinated stunts in Suicide Squad and several Marvel Cinematic Universe films, The Avengers, Avengers: Endgame (2019), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Interceptor (2022), etc.

Actor, Director

As an actor, Sam Hargrave has starred in the films The King of Fighters (2010) as Mr. Big and Atomic Blonde (2017) as James Gascoigne, and in Dhaka.

His directorial debut Extraction (2020), in which he also played Gaetan/"G" and starred Chris Hemsworth in the lead role.
