Before fame

Dean-Charles Chapman's career began at the age of 8. In 2005, he had a minor role in Billy Elliot the Musical. In the same theatre production, he played Michael from 2008-2009 and Billy Elliot (2009-2011).

At the age of 10, he was cast in 2007’s TV series Casualty. This was followed by minor roles in the TV series Cuckoo (2012), The Revolting World of Stanley Brown (2012), and The White Queen (2013).

Worked in

Finally, in 2013, he landed the breakthrough role of Tommen Baratheon in HBO’s series Game of Thrones. He portrayed the character from 2014 to 2016. 

Since then, Dean-Charles Chapman has had roles in the series Glue (2014), Ripper Street (2015), Will (2017), and Into the Badlands (2018). 

In films, he has starred in Before I Go to Sleep (2014), Breathe (2017), The Commuter (2018), and Blinded by the Light (2019). He is set to appear in the 2019 movie 1917 while The King and Here Are the Young Men are in the post-production phase.
