DeRon Jenkins was born on November 14, 1973, in St. Louis, Missouri, USA as DeRon Charles Jenkins. The name of his mother is Maggie Donald while the name of his father is not known. NFL
Jenkins was drafted in the second round, pick 55 of the 1996 National Football League (NFL) Draft by Baltimore Ravens. He played as a cornerback for the American football club until 2000, having started 30 of 63 games, a total of 202 tackles, 2 interceptions, and a sack.
He signed with the Diego Chargers (now Los Angeles Chargers) before the 2000 season. Although he played for the club for only a season, he had a score of starting 14 of 15 games, a total of 55 tackles, and 1 interception. DeRon Jenkins signed with the Tennessee Titans in 2001 and played for the team the same season. He had started 6 of 15 games and recorded 41 tackles during his time there.
From the 2002 to 2003 season, DeRon Jenkins stayed away from professional football. In 2004, he was signed with Arena Football League’s (AFL) Austin Wranglers. During his one season with the team, he had 54 tackles and two interceptions. After that, he signed with AFL’s Nashville Kats for the 2005 season. His score for the year included 84 tackles and four interceptions.
TV Host
While playing for the Baltimore Ravens in the late 1990s, Jenkins purchased his first home. While managing his NFL career, he was able to DIY his home- finished out his basement, and added a bathroom, and pool table room. After retiring from football in 2006, he still had a passion for renovating.
So, DeRon Jenkins worked to become a licensed general contractor and began renovating houses throughout Nashville and Atlanta. In 2017, he was chosen to be the host of HGTV's Flip or Flop Nashville alongside co-host Page Turner, who is a real estate broker.
He also appeared on TV shows Joined at the Flip (2017), Celebrity Page (2018), and Today (2018).
