Early Days
Growing up in Omaha, Dober began training in Thai boxing aka Muay Thai at the age of 14. He was a two-time Amateur National Champion and his amateur record of 9-0 helped him when he turned professional in 2009.
He won the fight against Nick Nolte at Bellator 16 on April 29, 2010, and had a 12–2 record in the next few years from various promotions such as Titan Fighting Championship, and Victory Fighting Championship. Drew Dober also appeared on The Ultimate Fighter in February 2012. However, he lost to Daron Cruickshank via unanimous decision in the entry round.
UFC
Drew Dober’s debut Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) match was against Sean Spencer on November 30, 2013, after stepping in for Sérgio Moraes, who was injured. He lost the fight by unanimous decision.
