Erin Krakow is an actress, producer by profession, and American by nationality.  She is well known for starring in the Hallmark series When Calls the Heart as Elizabeth Thatcher Thornton and as Tanya Gabriel in Army Wives.

Erin Krakow’s birth took place on September 5, 1984, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, as Erin Alisa Krakow. Her father's name is Dr. Elliott Krakow, and her mother's name is Morgan Krakow. She was raised by her parents in Wellington, Florida, with her sibling, brother Kyle Krakow.

Erin Krakow – Career

Early Days

After completing her education, she began her career as an actress on stage with roles in The Importance of Being Earnest, George the Fourth, and Steel Magnolias. Her debut TV role was as the recurring character Specialist Tanya Gabriel in Army Wives. She portrayed the character for a total of 18 episodes from 2010 to 2012.

This was followed by a guest role in a 2013 episode of Castle and in the TV film Chance at Romance (2014). Finally, in 2014, she was cast as Elizabeth Thatcher, a lead character in the Hallmark series When Calls the Heart. She is also a co-executive producer of the series and has starred in over 134 episodes, as of 2025.
