Who is G Herbo?

G Herbo is a rapper and songwriter by profession and American by nationality. He is signed with Machine Entertainment Group and has been active in the music industry since 2012, already having released about five mixtapes.

G Herbo – Age, Parents, Siblings

G Herbo’s birth took place on October 8, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was born Herbert Randall Wright III to his father Herbert Wright II while his mother’s name and details are not known. 

He is not the only child of his parents and his siblings. Although not much is known about his brothers/sisters, it is known that he has a sister while his brother Lil Greg passed away in early 2021 as a result of a gunshot.

Education, Ethnicity

G Herbo did not graduate from Hyde Park Academy High School, dropping out at the age of 16.

His ethnicity is African-American.

G Herbo – Girlfriend, Wife, Children

Herbo was in a long-term relationship with Ariana Fletcher. He and his (now-ex) girlfriend welcomed a baby together, a son named Yosohn Santana Wright in April 2018. They were even rumored to be engaged to be married, after dating for four years. But by October 2018, they had broken up after Fletcher accused him of cheating with Taina Williams.

In January 2019, it was reported that he is dating Taina Williams, daughter of Fabolous and ‎Emily Bustamente. He and his girlfriend welcomed their son Essex William Wright on May 27, 2021. Just roughly a year later, on May 17, 2022, Williams gave birth to their second child together- a daughter named Emmy Love Wright.

Before fame

G Herbo has been a member of N.L.M.B. (Never Leave My Brothers) which he describes as a "brotherhood" rather than a gang.

He started his professional career in 2012. He has been friends with rapper Lil Bibby for a long time. They collaborated with their song Kill Shit, which gained them their first media attention. Their fame grew when Canadian rapper Drake called them "the future".

Mixtapes

Herbo released his first mixtape on February 17, 2014, and was titled Welcome to Fazoland. The mixtape was critically acclaimed. The same year in April, he collaborated with Nicki Minaj on Chiraq.

He soon released mixtapes Pistol P Project (December 26, 2014), Ballin Like I'm Kobe (September 29, 2015), and Strictly 4 My Fans (November 24, 2016). G Herbo has also announced a mixtape with Lil Bibby but is yet to be released.

Since 2017, G Herbo began to release studio albums. His debut studio album Humble Beast was released on September 22, 2017, followed by Swervo on July 27, 2018, and Still Swervin on February 1, 2019.

Herbo has collaborated with Joey Badass, Lil Uzi Vert, and Southside, to name a few.

G Herbo – Arrest, Legal issues

In February 2018, G Herbo was arrested along with two other men after their limousine driver tipped the police about his passengers carrying weapons. None had a firearm owner’s identification card. All three were charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

On 17 April 2019, G Herbo and Ariana Fletcher were involved in a row that turned physical. He was arrested and jailed on the same day in Atlanta for simple battery. Fletcher is 14 weeks pregnant by Gervonta Davis.

According to TMZ, the Atlanta Police Department said Fletcher sustained minor scratches. The Police Department stated, "was in a verbal altercation with the father of her child when at some point he assaulted her then left the location with their son.”

The reason behind the battery is not clear and his bond is set at $2,000. He was released late Thursday night and went to Instagram Live to talk about the incident.
