He is well known for his work in the theatre production of stage plays including One Man Two Guvnors!, Quiz, Carousel, Guys and Dolls, Sleeping Beauty, The Willows, Up on the Roof, Hollyoaks, Lunch Monkeys, Nineteen Eighty-Four, Company, and A Very Expensive Poison, to name a few.

Spokes’ debut screen role was in an episode of the TV series The Bill (2002) as Blake Pressman. Prior to this, he had lent his voice to the 2002 video game Warrior Kings.
