Hannah Selleck is an international showjumper by profession. She is the daughter of actor Tom Selleck and his wife Jillie Mack. She is now the owner and founder of Descanso Farm, a California-based boutique breeding, and training operation.

Hannah Selleck’s birth took place on December 16, 1988, in Los Angeles, California, USA. She was born Hannah Margaret Selleck to her father Tom Selleck, an American actor, and her mother Jillie Mack, a former English-born actress/dancer.
Although she is the only child of her parents, she does have an older step-brother, Kevin Selleck (born Kevin Shepard). Kevin was a member of the band Tonic. The name of his biological father is known but was adopted by Tom when he married his mother Jacqueline Ray on 15 May 1971.

Growing up on a ranch in southern California, Hannah Selleck fell in love with horses and horseback riding at an early age.
With continuous encouragement and support from her parents, she began to take horseback riding competitively at the age of 14. She also had other hobbies that included dancing ice skating, and soccer.
Showjumper
Now Hannah Selleck is an accomplished competitor in both the hunter and the jumper ring and has even reached the Grand Prix level.
Moreover, she won silver medals at the 005 Prix des States Junior Jumper National Championship and Junior division of the 2006 North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC).
In 2007 Hannah Selleck was named the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Hunt Medal Finals Reserve Champion and in 2008 she won the Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search Finals – West.
The same year, in 2008, Selleck won team gold medals in the Young Rider division in NAJYRC. Recently in 2015, she won Canadian Pacific Grand Prix, among others.

Descanso Farm
In 2010 with the help of her father, she founded Descanso Farm, a California-based boutique breeding and training operation. Selleck’s decision to start a farm was “fueled by the desire to produce high-quality horses” in the U.S.
Moreover, Hannah Selleck serves as an ambassador for Brooke USA, a charity dedicated to improving the welfare of horses, donkeys, and mules in the developing world.
