Holland Roden is an actress who is best known for starring as Lydia Martin in Teen Wolf, as Zoe Woods in Channel Zero: Butcher's Block. The American is set to star in the 2021 psychological horror film Escape Room 2.

Holland Roden was born on October 7, 1986, in Dallas, Texas, USA. She was born Holland Marie Roden to her father Jay Roden and her mother Cheryl Roden. She was raised in Dallas by her parents alongside her three siblings – sister Taylor Roden and brothers Scott Roden, and Ryan Roden.

Coming from a medical family, Holland Roden was educated at an all-girls private school- Hockaday School. She went on to study at UCLA where she majored in molecular biology and women's studies.

Holland Roden then went on to start a romantic relationship with Max Carver in May 2014. After nearly two years of dating, they separated.

Following college graduation, Roden spent three and a half years in pre-medical education, on the path of becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. However, she left it all behind to take up acting full-time.

As an actress, her debut role was in the 2004 short films Consideration and Back at the Ranch. This was followed by appearances in the episode(s) of the TV series CSI (2007), Lost (2008), Criminal Minds (2010), and Memphis Beat (2011), among others. Finally, in 2011, Holland Roden was cast as the main role of Lydia Martin in Teen Wolf. She portrayed the character until 2017, for a total of 100 episodes, and is her breakthrough role.
