Early Days

Arbues began his career at the young age of three. In the beginning years of his career, he worked as a children's advertising model and eventually turned to acting. His debut screen role was in the 2009 film Hierro as Matero. This was followed by appearances in the short films Cicatrices (2012), Moiré (2014), La Vieja (2016), and Hermanos (2016). 

During that time, Hugo Arbues also portrayed characters in the episodes of the TV series Anclados (2015), El Secreto de Puente Viejo (2015), The Ministry of Time (2016), and Olmos y Robles (2016). His debut film was The Warning (2018) as Nico.

Films, TV Series

In 2018 Hugo Arbues was cast in the recurring role of Arnau niño in the TV series Cathedral of the Sea which helped him to further his career into more recurring roles. Since then he has starred in the film Through My Window/A través del Mar (2022) as Apolo Hidalgo and in episodes of the TV series Sabuesos (2018), and Madres. Amor y vida (2020) as Tomás.

He is also set to star in the Through My Window/A través del Mar two sequels.
