Iain Glen is an actor by profession and Scottish by nationality. Among all his work, he is best known for portraying the role in the Resident Evil film series as Dr. Alexander Isaacs / Tyrant and as Ser Jorah Mormont in Game of Thrones.

Iain Glen’s birth took place on 24 June 1961 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was born Iain Alan Sutherland Glen to his father Hamish Glen while the name of his mother is not known. He is not the only child of his parents and has a brother named Hamish Glen, who is now an artistic director.
Education, Ethnicity
For education, Glen attended Edinburgh Academy and later enrolled at the University of Aberdeen. He was also trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where he won the Bancroft Gold Medal.
His ethnicity is Scottish.
Iain Glen – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce
Iain Glen has been married twice and divorced once. His first marriage was to Susannah Harker. He married his wife in 1993 and has a son together, named Finlay Glen born in 1994. But their marriage ended in divorce in 2004.
He moved on and started dating Charlotte Emmerson in 2005 after meeting at the National Theatre.
He and his girlfriend (now wife) have welcomed two daughters together, Mary Glen (born September 2007) and Juliet Glen (born 2012). They finally married in the summer of 2017.

Before fame
Iain Glen started his professional career in 1986 as a stage actor in theatre and a minor character in the TV series Taggart. This was followed by roles in the TV series Screen Two (1986-1989), The Fear (1988), Frankie's House (1992), Wives and Daughters (1999), and The Diary of Anne Frank (2009), to name a few.
In movies, he has starred in Paris by Night (1988), Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (1990), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), Resident Evil: Extinction (2007), Harry Brown (2009), etc.

Worked in
Since 2010, Iain Glen has portrayed supporting roles in The Iron Lady (2011), Kick-Ass 2 (2013), Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016), and Bruce Wayne in Titans in DC comics, among others.
Glen has also portrayed minor roles in Doctor Who (2010), Jack Taylor (2010-2016), Prisoners' Wives (2012-2013), Autopsy: The Last Hours Of (2014-2015), Cleverman (2016–present), Delicious (2016–2019).
He portrays the supporting character Ser Jorah Mormont in Game of Thrones and has been doing so from 2011 till 2019.
