Joanna Gaines was born on April 19, 1978, in Kansas, United States. Her parents are Nan Stevens and Jerry Stevens. Her mother is Korean while her father has German and Lebanese roots. They have been married for more than 45 years and Gaines chose to honor that via Instagram,
"My parents met in 1969 when my dad was stationed in Korea and their story is one you hear about in the movies. All the odds were against them but they fought through and became an example of how to love, fight for, extend grace to, and honor each other amidst all their many differences."
Joanna Gaines, born Joanna Lea Stevens, has two siblings- an older sister Teresa Criswell and a younger sister Mary Kay McCall.

Joanna Gaines’s dad owned a Firestone tire store in Waco, Texas. Chip Gaines was in his 20s when he saw the picture of Joanna Gaines in the tire store. So he began to frequently visit the store, hoping to meet her.
Finally, he saw Joanna in the shop and went ahead to talk to her. The two hit it off. It did take a while for Joanna to warm up to Chip Gaines. They soon started dating. After years of dating, she married her long-time boyfriend on 31 May 2003. The couple has welcomed five children together.
Their first child Drake Gaines was born on May 4, 2004, while their daughter Ella Rose was born on Oct. 23, 2006. They became parents for the third time when Joanna Gaines gave birth to son Duke Gaines in 2008. Their daughter Emmie Kay Gaines was born in 2010. The newest addition to the family, son Crew Gaines was born in June 2018.
Along with her husband and children, she is living a happy life with blissful marriage with no rumors of divorce or extra-marital affairs.

Joanna Gaines – Career
Gaines used to work at “All you can eat buffet”. Joanna Gaines and her husband shared a common interest in construction and design. Teaming up, they started to remodel and fix homes soon after they got married. Years later in 2013, they started their own show called Fixer Upper, which was aired on HGTV.
The show has run successful seasons. Gaines left the show in 2017 while the show ended in March 2018. They wanted to focus more on their family and children.
The couple also has a construction/design company- Magnolia Homes, a restaurant- Magnolia Table, and a discount store- Magnolia Market.
Joanna Gaines has also published three books The Magnolia Story (2016), Homebody: A Guide to Creating Spaces You Never Want to Leave (2018), and Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering (2018).
