Joe Panik: Career

Before fame

While a baseball player at college, Panik ranked tenth among college baseball players with a .509 on-base percentage (OBP) during his junior season.

Panik was drafted by Giants in the first round, with the 29th overall selection, of the 2011 Major League Baseball (MBL) draft. His debut game was with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes and in prior to 2012 season was rated the tenth best second base.

Joe Panik played the 2012 seasons with the San Jose Giants and in 2013 he was promoted to the Richmond Flying Squirrels. The next year, he started the year’s season with the Fresno Grizzlies.

Played for

On June 21, 2014, Joe Panik started playing in the MBL for the San Francisco Giants. With the team, he has played baseball against Washington Nationals, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers,  Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Colorado Rockies.
