Who is Julian Glover?
Julian Glover is an English classical actor, with many roles since commencing his career in the 1950s. He is a recipient of the Laurence Oliver Award. Among all he is best known for his role in Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Julian Glover was born on 1935 March 27 in Hampstead, London, England to parents Honor Ellen Morgan, a BBC journalist, and Claude Gordan Glove, a BBC radio producer. His full name is Julian Wyatt Glover.
Grover is not the only child of his parents and has a younger sister, Prue Glover, and a younger half-brother Robert Wyatt from his mother's subsequent marriage.

For education, he attended Bristol Grammar School and Alleyn's School. He also trained at National Youth Theatre. While at Bristol Grammar School, he was a classmate of Timothy West and David Prowse.

Julian Glover has been married twice and divorced once. His first marriage was to actress Eileen Atkins. They had tied the knot in 1957 and after 9 years together got divorced in 1966. They didn't have any children together.
His second wife is Isla Blair. They had met for the first time in a rehearsal room in Victoria. He married his girlfriend-turned-fiance after two years of dating on 28 September 1968.
Together the couple welcomed a son named Jamie Glover on July 10, 1969. Their son has taken in their footsteps and is now also an actor. As of now, the couple seems to be going strong and is one of the long-lasting marriages in Hollywood, which is quite rare.

Before fame
Glover performed at the Royal Shakespeare Company and started his professional career as an actor in the year 1959. Before landing the breakthrough role, he had appeared in TV series such as The Avengers, The Saint, Strange Report, Doctor Who, Blake's 7, and City of Death, among others.

Julian Glover has acted in many films. He gained fame in Hollywood with roles in popular films such as Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980), James Bond (1981) film For Your Eyes Only (1981), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), the Cold War thriller The Fourth Protocol (1987). He voiced the giant spider Aragog in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002).
He played the role of Grand Maester Pycelle in HBO's hit series Game of Thrones (2011-2016) and appeared as General Beauvilliers in the BBC drama Spies of Warsaw.
