Julie Banderas is a news anchor by profession and American by nationality. She has hosted Fox News Channel’s Fox Report Weekend, and The Big Story Weekend and has been awarded an Emmy Award for her work in journalism.

Julie Banderas’ birth took place on September 25, 1973, in Hartford, Connecticut, USA. She was born Julie E. Bidwell to her Colombian mother Fabiola R. Bidwell and her father Howard D. Bidwell, a navy veteran, and civil engineer. 

She is not the only child of her parents and has siblings, including a sister named Melissa Bidwell. From her father’s first marriage, she has four half-siblings - half-brother Howard Bidwell Jr. and half-sisters Marybeth Bender, Susan Williams, and Tracy Bidwell.

After graduating high school, Julie Banderas went on to study at Emerson College. From there she earned a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism in 1996.

Her ethnicity is multi-ethnic (Colombian, English).

Julie Banderas married her longtime boyfriend Andrew Sansone on 29 August 2009. She and her husband have three children together- daughters Addison Melissa Sansone (born April 21, 2010), Avery Julie Sansone (born November 13, 2012), and son Andrew Harrison (May 9, 2016).

Currently, the couple is living without rumors of extra-marital affairs or divorce.

Julie Banderas – Career

Since starting her career in 1997, Banderas has had a successful career as a news anchor. Her first job after graduation was at WHSV - TV / Gray Television where she worked from 1997 to 1999. She also worked at WBRE-TV/WYOU-TV (1999-2000), and WFSB TV (Jan 2000 – Dec 2001).

Finally, in March 2005, Julie Banderas joined Fox News Channel as a general assignment reporter. And in June 2006, she became infamous for her on-air clash with the former spokeswoman of Westboro Baptist Church, Shirley Phelps-Roper.

In 2008 she began working as an anchor for Fox Report Weekend, replacing Laurie Dhue. Following her return to Fox at the end of 2010, Julie Banderas was reassigned as Fox News’ general news correspondent.
