Julie Banderas’ birth took place on September 25, 1973, in Hartford, Connecticut, USA. She was born Julie E. Bidwell to her Colombian mother Fabiola R. Bidwell and her father Howard D. Bidwell, a navy veteran, and civil engineer.
She is not the only child of her parents and has siblings, including a sister named Melissa Bidwell. From her father’s first marriage, she has four half-siblings - half-brother Howard Bidwell Jr. and half-sisters Marybeth Bender, Susan Williams, and Tracy Bidwell.

Julie Banderas – Career
Since starting her career in 1997, Banderas has had a successful career as a news anchor. Her first job after graduation was at WHSV - TV / Gray Television where she worked from 1997 to 1999. She also worked at WBRE-TV/WYOU-TV (1999-2000), and WFSB TV (Jan 2000 – Dec 2001).
Finally, in March 2005, Julie Banderas joined Fox News Channel as a general assignment reporter. And in June 2006, she became infamous for her on-air clash with the former spokeswoman of Westboro Baptist Church, Shirley Phelps-Roper.
In 2008 she began working as an anchor for Fox Report Weekend, replacing Laurie Dhue. Following her return to Fox at the end of 2010, Julie Banderas was reassigned as Fox News’ general news correspondent.
