Julie Hagerty is an actress, model by profession, and American by nationality. She is well known for starring in Airplane!, Airplane II: The Sequel as Elaine and in A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy, Lost in America, Freddy Got Fingered, and Marriage Story.

Julie Hagerty’s birth took place on June 15, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. She was born as Julie Beth Hagerty to model and singer mother Harriet Yuellig and musician father Jerald William "Jerry" Hagerty, Jr. 

She is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling a brother - named Michael Hagerty, who is also an actor.

For education, Julie Hagerty attended Indian Hill High School. After graduation, she studied acting.

Julie Hagerty married her longtime boyfriend Peter Burki in 1986. She and her husband did not have any children together and eventually divorced in 1991. She has also been in a romantic relationship with Bob Fosse, and Albert Brooks.

After dating for years, in 1999, Hagerty married Richard Kagan and has been with him ever since. The couple does not have any children together.

Julie Hagerty – Career

Early Career

Hagerty started her professional career at a young age. She was signed into Ford Models at 15 and in 1972 began to work at her brother’s theater group the Production Company. Finally, in 1979, she made her off-Broadway debut with her brother’s theater production of Mutual Benefit Life.

As Julie Hagerty continued to perform in Broadway shows she began to star in theatrical films including Lost In America, A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy, and Beyond Therapy.

Julie Hagerty eventually began to land roles in films. Over the years she has starred in Airplane! (1980), Airplane II: The Sequel (1982), Rude Awakening (1989), Reversal of Fortune (1990), The Wife (1995), Held Up (1999), The Badge (2002), Just Friends (2005), Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009), Instant Family (2018), Marriage Story (2019).

Hagerty also has portrayed guest roles in many TV series such as American Playhouse (1987), Women of the House (1995), Remember WENN (1997), Everybody Loves Raymond (1999), Malcolm in the Middle (2003-2004), The Winner (2007), Family Guy (2011-2019), New Girl (2016), etc.
