She also has two older siblings, both sisters named Lauren Raphael and Deanna Raphael. All three were raised by her parents in Rockville Centre, New York.

June Diane Raphael first met actor-comedian Paul Scheer when the artistic director of Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre brought Scheer to give advice to Raphael and Wilson on their UCB two-woman sketch show. Raphael and Scheer began dating in January 2004.

In 2005, June Diane Raphael moved with her boyfriend Scheer from New York to Los Angeles. After getting engaged, the couple finally married on October 10, 2009, at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.

Their first child, a son, was born on April 30, 2014. They named their baby boy August Scheer. June Diane Raphael got pregnant for the second time and delivered their second child in August 2016. She and her husband named their second son Sam Scheer. There is no news of divorce surrounding the couple.

June Diane Raphael – Career

Early days

June Diane Raphael was still a student at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater when she paired up with Casey Wilson to run a two-woman sketch show for a number of years. Rode Hard and Put Away Wet was their long-running sketch show. 

These exposures and experiences opened up doors for the pair. In 2005, after their performance at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, they were hired by New Regency Pictures to write the film Bride Wars, a 2009 film in which they also starred as supporting actors. They landed a development deal with UPN, too. In addition, the duo also worked as writers and story editors on the Americanized version of CBS’s Creature Comforts.
