Karl Glusman is an actor by profession and American by nationality. He is best known for his appearance in films Love, The Neon Demon, and Nocturnal Animals and is married to Zoe Kravitz.

Karl Glusman’s birth took place on January 3, 1988, in The Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. His mother Elaine Glusman and father Steven Glusman had met while studying medicine and the family moved to Oregon when he was six months old.

He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, a younger sister named Liz Glusman.

For education, Karl Glusman attended Lake Oswego High School and after graduation, he enrolled at Portland State University. After a year he dropped out of college and attended William Esper Studio in New York where he took acting classes.

Glusman began dating actress Zoe Kravitz in 2016. After years of relationship, he got engaged to his girlfriend which was announced in the November 2018 issue of Rolling Stone. They had been engaged since February 2018 and married on June 29, 2019, in Paris, France. The wedding was held at Kravitz's father, Lenny Kravitz's home.

However, Karl Glusman and his wife's marriage was short-lived. Just 18 months after tying the knot, the couple separated and filed for divorce on December 23, 2020. They did not have any children together and there is no information if their divorce was caused by an extra-marital affair.

Early career

Glusman began his career in 2008 and was cast in the film The Iconographer. This was followed by minor roles in Blow Up (2012), Ratter (2015), and Stonewall (2015), and lent his voice in 2012’s Starship Troopers: Invasion.

Breakthrough

After shooting a TV commercial with Adidas, Karl Glusman flew to France for a fresh start. There he met Argentine-French film director Gaspar Noe through a mutual friend. Noe cast him in the controversial erotic drama Love. At the premiere of Love at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, Glusman met Tom Ford, who cast him in Nocturnal Animals (2016).

Other films in which Karl Glusman has starred include Embers (2015), The Neon Demon (2016), Gypsy (2017), Above Suspicion (2018), Wounds (2019), Greyhound (2020), etc.
