Who is Katelyn Ohashi?
Katelyn Ohashi is a former artistic gymnast by profession and American by nationality. She is a member of six-time All-American and a former member of USA Gymnastics' Junior National Team and had won the 2013 American Cup.
In January 2019 she was trending globally for her perfect 10 scores at the 2019 Collegiate Challenge.

Katelyn Ohashi’s birth took place on April 12, 1997, in Seattle, Washington, USA. She was born Katelyn Michelle Ohashi to her mother Diana Ohashi, a high school gymnast, and her father Richard Ohashi.
She is not the only child of her parents and has three older siblings – brothers Ryan Ohashi, Kyle Ohashi, and Kalen Ohashi.
Education, Ethnicity
For education, Katelyn Ohashi attended Spring Creek Academy, and Plano Senior High School, graduating from the latter in 2015. She then enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles in the fall of 2015 for a major in gender studies. Ohashi represented UCLA and graduated in 2019.
Her ethnicity includes German and Japanese.

Although Katelyn Ohashi has spent most of her life in the public eye, she has managed to keep her relationships and dating life far away from prying eyes. She seems to be a single lady, but a secret boyfriend cannot be ruled out.

Katelyn Ohashi – Career
As a Junior
Ohashi began gymnastics at age 3. Later on, in her pre-teen years, she trained with Al Fong at the Great American Gymnastics Express (GAGE). At the age of 12, she made her debut in the 2009 Junior Olympic National Championships.
She had missed the chance to compete in the Olympics as she was just a few months short of the age requirement.
From 2009 to 2011 she competed in Junior divisions. In the 2009 U.S. Classic, she was placed fourth on the floor in the junior division, fifth on the balance beam, and ninth in the all-around. In the 2010 U.S. Classic, Katelyn Ohashi had silver medals in the all-around and on bars, beam, and floor, and in the 2011 U.S. Classic, she silver medal on beam, tied for fifth on vault.

Other Competitions
Katelyn Ohashi has competed in the 2013 American Cup, the 2015 Pikes Peak Cup, and the 2015 WOGA Classic and joined the UCLA Bruins gymnastics team for the 2015–2016 Collegiate season.
In the 2018 season Collegiate, Ohashi captured three perfect 10s on the floor, and at the 2019 Collegiate Challenge, she earned perfect 10s for a floor routine. The latter event was widely shared on social media.
Katelyn Ohashi – Health Issues
In 2014 Katelyn Ohashi suffered from two torn shoulders and a spine injury requiring surgery. This kept her off the remaining 2014 season. In the 2015-2016 season, her balance beam fell off which resulted in her landing on her neck. She sustained a sternal fracture that kept her out for four weeks.
Ohashi has been open about her struggle with body image and has been a victim of body image insults. For the issue, she has received mental health counseling.
