Kristen Bell is an actress by profession and American by nationality. Since rising to fame in the early 2000s as Veronica Mars, she has starred in numerous hit films.

Born on July 18, 1980, Kristen Bell’s full name/birth name is Kristen Anne Bell. She was born in Huntington Woods, Michigan, the U.S.A and her father is Tom Bell, a TV news director, and her mother is Lorelei Bell (maiden name- Frygier), a registered nurse. Her parents divorced when she was only two years old.

From her father’s second marriage, she has two step-sisters and from her mother’s second marriage, she has four half-siblings - half-brothers- John Avedian and Matt Avedian and two half-sisters Laura Avedian and Megan Avedian. 

Education, Ethnicity

For education, Kristen Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School. After graduation, Bell attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts for a major in musical theatre. But she dropped out in 2001 to take up a role in a Broadway musical.

Her ethnicity is German, English, Irish, Scottish, and Polish.

Kristen Bell started dating Kevin Mann. She even got engaged to her boyfriend in 2012. But they never made it to the altar. She ended their five-year-long engagement.

She then went on to date actor Dax Shepard and got engaged, which was announced in January 2010. But they did not marry right away. They decided to wait until the state of California legalized same-sex marriage.

After same-sex marriage was legalized on June 26, 2013, Bell proposed to her boyfriend Shepard via Twitter, which he gladly accepted.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard married on October 16, 2013. She has two daughters with her husband. Their first daughter, Lincoln Bell Shepard was born in March 2013 while their second daughter Delta Bell Shepard was born in December 2014.

Currently, the family resides in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. The couple seems to be happy with their marriage and is living blissfully without rumors of extra-marital affairs or divorce.

Kristen Bell – Career 

Early Days

In her school days, Bell was a member of the drama and music club and had even played in several school plays. Before she was 13 years old, her mother had selected an agent for her and had started taking acting classes. She had already appeared in several commercials. In 1998, she had an uncredited role in Polish Wedding.

Kristen Bell played roles in Broadway shows such as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (2001), The Crucible (2002), etc. In 2004, she was cast in the movie Gracie's Choice, Spartan followed by a role in the series Deadwood. 

In 2004, Bell starred as Veronica Mars in the series Veronica Mars. This role of hers is also considered her breakthrough role.

This was followed by roles in Fifty Pills, Pulse, Heroes, Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2007), Fanboys (2006), Serious Moonlight (2009), Couples Retreat (2009), When in Rome (2010), Get Him to the Greek (2010), Burlesque (2010), Scream 4 (2011). 

Other film credit of her includes Big Miracle (2012), House of Lies, Safety Not Guaranteed (2012), Safety Not Guaranteed (2012), The Lifeguard, Frozen (2013), Zootopia, The Boss, A Bad Moms Christmas, The Disaster Artist, How to Be a Latin Lover, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, Wreak-it Ralph, Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) and to be released movie Frozen 2 (2019). 

She also has starred in the series House of Lies, Parks and Recreation (2013), Like Father, and The Good Place.

In 2014, Veronica Mars was revived and original cast members reprised their particular roles. Kristen Bell is set to star in the upcoming 8-episode revival series of Veronica Mars.

In 2012, while on The Ellen Show, she shared the moment when her husband gifted her a sloth and she had a hilarious meltdown!
