Kristen Doute is a reality TV star, model, actress, and entrepreneur by profession, and an American by nationality. She is best for starring in Bravo’s reality TV series Vanderpump Rules.

Kristen Doute’s birth took place on February 19, 1983, in Dearborn, Michigan, USA. She was born Kristen Louise Doute and was raised in Detroit. Her mother is named Faye Doute, and her father's name is not known.

She is not the only child of her parents and has three siblings- brother Ryan Doute, sisters  Amy Anderson-Eller (@wanderlusting1), and @travelingeverafter.

Kristen Doute was educated at Edsel Ford High School and graduated from the same in 2001.

Kristen Doute was in a relationship with her boyfriend Brian Carter for five years, as of 2019. The couple had met on the dating app Bumble and already had 25 mutual friends.

Along with her (now ex) boyfriend, Carter, she runs a food blog called Vegiholic. She does not have any children. As she has never married and is sans husband, divorce is out of the question.

Before him, she dated Tom Sandoval for five years and later James Kennedy. Doute wears a fake engagement ring.

In May 2020, she revealed via social media that she is dating Alex Menache. However, just after months of moving in together, it was confirmed in June 2002 that they had separated.

Since then, she has been romantically linked to Luke Broderick. They have since gotten engaged. With her partner, she gave birth to their child, daughter Kaia Lily Broderick, on June 13, 2025.

Kristen Doute – Career

Before fame

Years after graduation, Kristen Doute moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in modeling. She obtained employment at SUR, Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant, as a waitress. In 2011, she had already played a role in Behind Your Eyes.

In 2013, she was cast in the show Vanderpump Rules, which features the daily lives of the servers in the restaurant, and is one of the oldest cast members. She made her name as a troublemaker who loves to be active in the private lives of her coworkers on the show.

On the show

Kristen Doute was the main cast member in the first three seasons of the series. She caused a lot of havoc and drama on the show.

She cheated on her boyfriend with her best friend’s boyfriend, James Kennedy, verbally assaulted her "lessers" at SUR, and sabotaged an ex's relationship with Ariana Madix.

But it is all in the past now, as she has shown that she has become a mature adult, at a high price. As her life is not full of drama anymore, she has become less interesting to the viewers. After 2018, her role in the reality show was severely demoted, making her a friend of the main cast.

She has also worked as an actress in the films The Loneliness of the Long Distance Dreamer (2010), Behind Your Eyes (2011), and Blood on Canvas (2013).
