Who is Larry Bourgeois?

Larry Bourgeois is a dancer, choreographer, model, producer, creative director, actor, and designer by profession, and French by nationality. Along with his identical twin brother Laurent Bourgeois, he is well known as a member of Les Twins.

Larry Bourgeois – Bio, Age, Parents, Siblings

Larry Bourgeois's birth took place on December 6, 1988, in Sarcelles, Paris, France. He was born Larry Nicolas Bourgeois. He was not the only child of his parents and has 8 siblings, among which he and his identical twin brother, Laurent Nicolas Bourgeois are the youngest.

The Les Twins began dancing from an early age. According to WAD Magazine, “They were born dancers. They walked at 5 months, seriously moved their bodies at 18 months old, and at 9 they showed off steps they had invented to youngsters twice their age in their neighborhood." 

Larry Bourgeois and his twin brother did not receive any formal dance lessons and instead learned to dance by observing others. The self-taught dancers began to perform in concerts and musicals at the age of 12. 

Education, Ethnicity

Although Bourgeois has been in the media for more than a decade, he has yet to share details of his mother, father, education, and childhood. His ethnicity includes African, among others.

Larry Bourgeois – Girlfriend, Wife, Children

Larry Bourgeois was in a relationship with French singer Lylah. He and his girlfriend have a child together, a daughter named Leala Nicole Bourgeois (nicknamed Lilo). But due to unfaithfulness in their relationship, the couple soon broke up in 2015. 

He was also rumored to have dated a woman named Melissa but is not associated with her anymore. As of 2019, he is single, unmarried, and sans wife.

Larry Bourgeois – Career

Early Career

Larry Bourgeois and Laurent Bourgeois first gained attention after defeating French street dancers Joseph Go and Meech Onomo in the semi-finals of Juste Debout. They competed in Season 3 of Incroyable Talent and were able to reach the finals. 

In August 2010, a video of them performing on the World of Dance tour in San Diego went viral on YouTube, giving them new opportunities. Just months later in November, the Les Twins made their US debut on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Career takes off

The year 2011 was very fruitful for Larry Bourgeois. They won Juste Debout and performed with Beyoncé at the Billboard Music Awards, the U.K.'s Glastonbury Festival, the BET Awards, and the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series. 

Over the course of upcoming years, they landed the opportunity to dance on the Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour, Everybody Dance!, The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, and On the Run Tour, to name a few. 

In addition to dancing, they have also worked as choreographers. Some of their choreography credits include the song Jump, and the video game Just Dance 2.

Model, Shows, Acting

Larry Bourgeois has also worked as a model. They are signed with NEXT Model Management in Paris and have worked with national and international brands- New Era, Benetton, Givenchy, H&M, Adidas, Pioneer Steez, EMOBILE, 25 Magazine, Beats By Dre, Hewlett-Packard and have walked at the 2010 Paris Fashion Week - Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2010 Men’s Collection. 

The Les Twins have also made appearances on the shows The Arsenio Hall Show (2014), So You Think You Can Dance (2014), The Queen Latifah Show (2015), World of Dance  (2017), and Révolution (2018). Their recent work as actors has gained them much recognition globally. They have starred in 2019 films Men in Black: International, Cats, and Homecoming.

Larry Bourgeois has been nominated for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards, the 2015 World of Dance Industry Awards, and the 2011 Youth Rocks Awards and has won the 2012 Hip Hop International, and 2014 World of Dance, among others.
