Larry Romano began his career as an actor in local New York Off-Broadway plays. His first role was in 1987 short film On Time.
This was followed by minor roles in Out for Justice (1991), NYPD Blue (1993-1994), Public Morals (1996), Donnie Brasco (1997), as Richie Iannucci in The King of Queens (1998-2001), Kristin (2001), The War at Home (2006), in The Irishman (2019) as Phil Testa, among others.

In addition to acting, Larry Romano is also a musician. In the 1990s he founded the rock band DEFICIT with his friends.
Their local hit song Rock In The Bronx which was aired by the local TV station Madison Square Garden Network went on to be the # 1 most requested song on NYC Radio Station Z-100 in 1993.
