Who is Larry Romano?

Larry Romano is an actor by profession and American by nationality. He is known for starring in NYPD Blue, The King of Queens, and The Irishman.

Larry Romano’s birth took place on July 31, 1963, in Mount Vernon, New York, USA. He was born Lawrence John Romano. 

Not many details of his early life including the names of his mother, father, and siblings are known to the public. However, it is known that he is a cousin of Carmine Giovinazzo and is not related to comedian, writer, actor and Ray Romano.

Early days

Before starting his career as an actor Romano worked at his “father's garment factory, as a delivery boy at Pat's Pizzeria, as a gypsy cab driver, as a telephone salesman, for a copy machine company, and as a bicycle messenger.”

Acting

Larry Romano began his career as an actor in local New York Off-Broadway plays. His first role was in the 1987 short film On Time. 

This was followed by minor roles in Out for Justice (1991), NYPD Blue (1993-1994), Public Morals (1996), Donnie Brasco (1997), as Richie Iannucci in The King of Queens (1998-2001), Kristin (2001), The War at Home (2006), in The Irishman (2019) as Phil Testa, among others.

Music

In addition to acting, Larry Romano is also a musician. In the 1990s he founded the rock band DEFICIT with his friends. 

Their local hit song Rock In The Bronx which was aired by the local TV station Madison Square Garden Network went on to be the # 1 most requested song on NYC Radio Station Z-100 in 1993.
