Lashana Lynch is an actress, singer by profession, and American by nationality. She is best known for starring in Still Star-Crossed as Rosaline Capulet, in Captain Marvel as Maria Rambeau, and as Nomi (007) in Bond 25.

Lashana Lynch – Bio, Age, Parents, Siblings

Lashana Lynch’s birth took place on 27 November 1987 in Hammersmith, London, England. She was born Lashana Rasheda Lynch to Jamaican parents. With the help of her grandmother, her single mother raised her alongside her two siblings, including her brother Anwar Lynch. 

Other facts about Lashana Lynch’s family life including the details of her father, and siblings are unknown to the public. However, she seems to be very close to her family, especially her mother as she features her on social media pages.

Education, Ethnicity

For education she attended Sylvia Young Theatre School and Arts Educational Schools London, graduating in 2010 with a BA in Acting.

Early Career

Before acting,  Lynch was an aspiring singer/songwriter. As a teenager, she took part in several singing competitions, was a finalist in Urban Voice, and five years later won the UK Unsigned.

Lashana Lynch’s first recognized role as an actress was in a 2007 episode of The Bill as Precious Miller. After that, she landed the role of Belle Newman in the 2011 drama film Fast Girls. For the athletic role, she worked out four hours a day and had been given ten weeks' time to do so.

The role gained her much attention and she became a household name.

Films, Series

Since her breakthrough role, Lashana Lynch has starred in films Powder Room (2013) as Laura, and Captain Marvel (2019) as Maria Rambeau. She is also known for starring in Willy Russell's play Educating Rita.

She has also starred in the TV series Atlantis (2014), The 7.39 (2014), Crims (2015), the main role of Rosaline Capulet in Still Star-Crossed (2017), Bulletproof (2018-present), and the main role of Agent 355 in 2020 series Y.

In July 2019 it was announced that Lashana Lynch would play the role of Nomi in the 2020 film Bond 25. This makes her the first black woman to the iconic role of 007, replacing Daniel Craig.

She starred alongside Brie Larson in Captain Marvel and will be sharing screentime with Rami Malek, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Ana de Armas, and David Dencik in Bond 25.
