Who is Lauren London?

Lauren London is an actress, model by profession, and American by nationality. She gained recognition with her performance in the film ATL and TV series 90210, Entourage, and The Game.

Lauren London – Age, Parents, Siblings

Lauren London’s birth took place on December 5, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, USA. She was born Lauren Nicole London to an African-American mother and an Ashkenazi Jewish father.  She has not revealed anything about her siblings.

Her mother was 20 years old and a student at UCLA when she had Lauren London. Her parents broke up when she was three years old and her father continued to stay in her life.

Education, Ethnicity

For education, she attended Palisades High School but later chose to be homeschooled which gave her time to audition for films, music videos, and commercials.

Her ethnicity includes African-American and Ashkenazi Jewish. On being and dealing a biracial individual, she said,

“Whatever your ethnicity is... in this life you are going to be on a journey to discover who you are and how you feel about yourself... I do remember being teased by my cousins on my mom's side for not being Black enough... And then I'd spend the summer with my dad and be sent to all white summer camps where I was 'that Black girl.'

If someone thinks I'm not Black enough that's their issue... I'm okay with who I am and it is what is. I'm a Black woman like my mother, and I love who my father is, and I love both sides of me. Nobody makes a big deaI about it anymore because I won't take that anymore.”

Lauren London – Boyfriend, Husband, Children

She dated Neef Buck from 2002 to 2005. London was in a relationship with rapper Lil Wayne. They had started dating in 2008 and later confirmed ending their relationship in January 2009.

On May May 19, 2009, London’s representative announced that she was pregnant by Wayne, which was later confirmed by Wayne on August 18, 2009. With her ex-boyfriend by her side, she welcomed her son Kameron Carter on September 9, 2009.

Opening up about her relationship with Lil Wayne in May 2011, she said,

"I met Wayne when I was 15 years old. I’ve known him a very long time, and we were in a relationship that didn’t make it. We tried more than once to revive it, and we were engaged briefly years ago, but we eventually parted ways. People see the 'Lil Wayne' personality and think they know who he really is. My son’s father is an intelligent, loving, and lovable person who will always be a dear friend. And that will never change. That is all."

She also dated Trey Songz on and off from 2009 to January 2014.

In late 2013, London began dating rapper and entrepreneur Ermias Asghedom, best known by his stage name Nipsey Hussle. The couple welcomed son Kross Asghedom on August 31, 2016, and daughter Emani Asghedom on February 2019.

On March 31, 2019, her longtime boyfriend Nipsey Hussle was shot dead outside The Marathon Clothing, a store he owned on West Slauson Avenue, South Los Angeles. She honored her late boyfriend in an emotional Puma campaign released in December 2019.

In February 2020 she responded to rumors that she was dating Diddy saying, "I'm a Woman in Grief."

Lauren London – Career

Before fame

London started out as a model and appeared in music videos for artists such as Tyrese, Ludacris, Pharrell, and Snoop Dogg. 

Only in 2006 did she land her breakthrough role. Her television debut was in Everybody Hates Chris. The same year, Lauren London was cast in ATL which earned her a Black Movie Awards-  Best Supporting Actress nomination.

Worked in

Since then, she has portrayed roles in I Love You, Beth Cooper (2009), Good Hair (2009), Baggage Claim (2013), The Perfect Match (2016), etc. 

Comparatively, Lauren London has found more success with TV series. She has starred in Entourage  (2007), 90210 (2008-2009), Keeping Up with the Kardashians (2009), The Game (2013-2015), The Talk (2017), and Games People Play (2019), among others.
