Who is Marshawn Lynch?
Marshawn Lynch is a football player by profession and American by nationality. He is the running back for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL), having played college football at the University of California.

Marshawn Lynch’s birth took place on April 22, 1986, in Oakland, California, USA. He was born Marshawn Terrell Lynch to his father Maurice Sapp and his mother Delina Lynch who once held a 200-meter track record at Oakland Technical High School.
He is not the only child of his parents and has three siblings- older brothers Davonte Lynch, and David Lynch, and older sister Marreesha Lynch.

For education, Marshawn Lynch studied at Oakland Technical High School and after graduation went on to attend classes at the University of California where he majored in social welfare.
His ethnicity is African-American.

Being a very private person Lynch has chosen to keep his personal life as private as possible. Not much is known of his ex-girlfriend or who he has been on dates with.
He started dating Charmaine Glock in 2015 but the pair seems to have broken up now. Currently, he is sans wife and children and as he has never been married, divorce is out of context.

High school, college career
Lynch was a four-sport star in high school- football, basketball, track, and wrestling. He was voted a PrepStar, SuperPrep All-American, and San Francisco East Bay Player of the Year.
In college, he played for the California Golden Bears football team and played for the team from the 2004 season to the 2006 season. On January 2, 2007, Marshawn Lynch announced that he would forgo his senior season to enter the 2007 NFL Draft.
NFL
In the 2007 NFL draft, Marshawn Lynch was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the first role with the 12th overall pick. He signed a six-year, $18.935 million with a $3 million signing bonus, and $10.285 million in total guarantee contract with the Bills.
His breakthrough came in the first season of his professional career, on a November 4 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He had rushed 29 times for 153 yards, including a 56-yard touchdown run. They played with the Bills until the 2010 season.
On October 5, 2011, Marshawn Lynch was traded to the Seattle Seahawks with a fourth-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft and a conditional pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played with the Seahawks until the 2015 season. On February 7, 2016, Lynch announced his retirement via Twitter.

Return to NFL
However, in early April 2017, it was announced that he had agreed to join the Oakland Raiders and that the Seahawks would trade him. On April 26 of the same year, he was traded to the Raiders with a two-year, $9 million contract, and a $2 million bonus for 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
After successful two seasons with the Raiders, Marshawn Lynch returned with the Seattle Seahawks during the final week of the 2019 regular season. He signed with the Seahawks on December 23, 2019.

Marshawn Lynch – Relationship with media
Lynch has been known for his reluctance to talk to the media. He has been fined by the NFL for refusing to talk to the press in 2013 and 2014.
Since then he has answered almost every question to the media with “Yeah", "Thanks for asking", "I appreciate you asking", "I'm just here so I won't get fined", and "You know why I'm here”.
But four days before Super Bowl XLIX, Marshawn Lynch appeared as a guest on Conan where he discussed his fondness of Mario Kart and explained his touchdown celebration moves. The video went viral.
