Who is Mathias Lauda?
Mathias Lauda is a race car driver by profession and Austrian by nationality. He currently races for Aston Martin Racing as a factory driver in the FIA World Endurance Championship. He is the son of Formula One world champion Niki Lauda and model, and socialite Marlene Knaus.

Mathias Lauda’s birth took place on 30 January 1981 in Salzburg, Austria. He was born to his father Niki Lauda, a three-time Formula One world champion, and his mother Marlene Knaus, a model, socialite, and fashion icon.
He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, older brother Lukas Lauda, born in 1979. He has three half-siblings- twins Mia Lauda, and Max Lauda (born in September 2009) from his second marriage to Birgit Wetzinger, and half-brother Christoph Lauda (born in 1982) from his father's extra-marital affair.

Mathias Lauda started dating Claire before 2013 and soon married his longtime girlfriend. He has welcomed two children, both sons with his wife.

Mathias Lauda – Career
Lauda’s professional career began in 2002. His debut was in Formula Nissan 2000 and drove in two races of German Formula VW and one race of Spanish Formula Three the same year. In 2003 he raced in World Series Light and in 2004 raced in Euro 2000 Series, Formula 3000 with the Coloni Motorsport team.
In the following years, he raced in the 2005 GP2 Series, and the 2005-06 A1 Grand Prix season but as he had not achieved any major results, Mathias Lauda decided to switch to touring cars.
Since 2006, Lauda has competed in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters series, Speedcar Series, FIA GT1 World Championship, 2012 Spa 24 Hours, etc. In 2017 he was named the FIA World ENDURANCE GT AM Champion and in 2019 won Liqui-moly Bathurst 12-Hour Race - Class A - GT3 Pro-Am.
