Who is Mike Comrie?
Mike Comrie is a former ice hockey player by profession and Canadian by nationality. In his 13-year career in the National Hockey League (NHL), he played with the Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Phoenix Coyotes, Ottawa Senators, New York Islanders, and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Mike Comrie’s birth took place on September 11, 1980, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He was born Michael William Comrie to his father Bill Comrie and his mother Theresa Comrie. The Comrie family is very wealthy with Bill's estimated net worth at $500 million.
He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings- older sister Cathy Robinson and older brother Paul Comrie. From his father’s second marriage, he has two half-brothers Eric Comrie and Ty Comrie, who are also hockey players.

Mike Comrie – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce
Mike Comrie began dating former Disney star, singer, and actress Hilary Duff in the summer of 2007. After years of dating the couple announced their engagement in February 2010. The same year on August 14 he married his longtime girlfriend.
He and his wife welcomed son Luca Cruz Comrie on March 20, 2012. However just 2 years later, on January 10, 2014, they announced their separation. After more than a year Duff filed for divorce and sought primary custody of Luca, which was finalized in February 2016.
Duff went on to marry singer/songwriter Matthew Koma on December 21, 2019 and has a daughter named Banks Violet Bair with him.
Since the divorce, Mike Comrie has chosen to stay away from the media. He is currently believed to be single, although a secret affair cannot be ruled out.

Mike Comrie – Career
Early Career
Comrie began playing ice hockey when he was very young. He played in the 1993 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team. In the 1999 NHL draft, Mike Comrie was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the third round, ninety-first overall.

NHL
After playing for Edmonton Oilers from 1999-2004, he was traded to Philadelphia Flyers. Having played just 21 games for the Flyers
Mike Comrie was again traded to the Phoenix Coyotes in 2004.
He played with the team until his trade to the Ottawa Senators on January 3, 2007. On July 5, 2007, he signed a one-year contract worth $3.375 million with the New York Islanders as an unrestricted free agent but was re-signed with the Islanders on February 26, 2008, to a new one-year contract worth $4 million.
Return to Oilers
However, for the 2009–10 NHL season Mike Comrie returned to Edmonton Oilers. After a memorable 4–0 pre-season win over the Florida Panthers, on September 18, 2009, he became an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2010.
On September 3, 2010, Comrie signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins, which was worth $500,000. In the 2010-2011 season, he was mostly sidelined due to a hip injury.
On February 13, 2012, Mike Comrie retired from hockey after undergoing hip surgery for the third time.

He was named AJHL Rookie of the Year (1996-1997), CCHA Rookie of the Year (1998-1999), and won the IIHF World Championship gold medal (2003), among many others.
