Naomi Scott began singing with the Bridge Church Youth Band. While in school, she was a regular performer in school musical and drama productions. Scott was actually discovered by British pop singer Kéllé Bryan. She had attended Bryan’s performance, who signed Scott as a client.

Over the years, she has released three EPs, namely, Invisible Division (August 2014), Promises (August 2016), Vows. In addition, her singles released are Motions, Lover's Lies, Vows, and Irrelevant.

Moreover, Scott has collaborated with Xenomania, Nick Brewer, Bridgit Mendler in the album Lemonade Mouth, etc. Also, Scott has appeared in the music videos of the song Hurricane by Lemonade Mouth co-star Mendler.

Naomi Scott’s debut acting role was in the Disney Channel UK series Life Bites. She was cast in Disney’s Lemonade Mouth (2011), Terra Nova (2011), By Any Means (2013), Lewis (2015-2016). She portrayed the role of Ryoko in Ridley Scott's 2015 movie The Martian, but her scenes were removed from the final cut. 

The young actress's big break came in 2017 with the role of Kimberly Hart/ Pink Ranger in the film Power Rangers. She starred alongside Becky G, Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler, Ludi Lin, Elizabeth Banks, and Bryan Cranston. After initial success, Scott was cast as Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, released in May 2019.

In July 2018, it was announced that Naomi Scott would play Bosley, one of the three angels in Charlie's Angels with Kristen Stewart and Ella Balinska.
