Who is Dacre Montgomery?

Dacre Montgomery is an actor by profession and Australian and Canadian by nationality. He is best known for starring as Jason Lee Scott in Power Rangers and Billy Hargrove in Stranger Things.

Dacre Montgomery – Bio, Age, Parents, Siblings

Dacre Montgomery’s birth took place on 22 November 1994 in Perth, Western Australia. He was born as Dacre Kayd Montgomery-Harvey to Canadian mother Judith Barrett-Lennard and New Zealander father Scott Montgomery-Harvey. Both his parents worked in the screening industry in Australia.

He also has a younger sibling, a younger sister named Saskia Montgomery, who is 12 years younger than him. 

Education, Ethnicity

For education, Dacre Montgomery attended Mount Lawley Senior High School. He then enrolled at WAAPA at Edith Cowan University and graduated in 2015 with a degree in acting.

His ethnicity includes Scottish, English, Irish, and Royal European.

Dacre Montgomery – Girlfriend, Wife, Children

He is in a relationship with Australian model Liv Pollock. Montgomery has been dating Pollock for a couple of years now and has been seen together at a couple of red-carpet events including the Emmy Awards.

However, the couple has yet to share their plans for getting married and settling down to have children. As he has never married he is a sans wife and divorce is out of context.

Early Career

Montgomery was heavily influenced by his parents’ work. At the age of 9, he too began performing on screen and in the theater. He began comprehensive acting classes at the age of 12 with a local training school, and a theatre company and gained much experience.

Before joining University he was cast in 2011’s short film Fred. In 2015 Dacre Montgomery starred in short films Godot's Clinic, Safe Neighbourhood, and A Few Less Men (2017).

Breakthrough

Finally, his breakthrough came with the 2017 film Power Rangers where he was cast as Jason Scott / Red Ranger. Since then he has starred in Better Watch Out (2017), True History of the Kelly Gang.

And most of all he is known for portraying Billy Hargrove, the main role in the TV series Stranger Things from 2017 to 2019. Moreover, Dacre Montgomery has appeared in music videos of Make Them Suffer’s Old Souls and Angus & Julia Stone’s Chateau.
