Russell Peters was born on September 29, 1970, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His birth name/ full name is Russell Dominic Peters. His mother’s name is Maureen Peters and his father’s name is Eric Peters, a professor of applied physics at the University of Toronto. He has an older brother whose name is Clayton Peters and currently serves as Russell Peters’ manager.

Peters attended Chinguacousy Secondary School and North Peel Secondary School. Because of his ethnicity, he faced bullying in his school days. So he learned boxing to defend against bullying.
His ethnicity is English and Indian.
Russell Peters – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce
Russell Peters was in a relationship with Sunny Leone, a Canadian-born Indian-American former adult star. In 2007, Leone started to do boy-girl scenes which led to their breakup.
He then went on to date Monica Diaz and proposed to her on July 10, 2010, at the Los Angeles International Airport, which they announced on Twitter. The couple married in a private and intimate ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Soon, the couple revealed that they were going to have a baby!
Peters told The Canadian Press, "Did I get married because she was knocked up? I would say that expedited it."
Their daughter Crystianna Marie Peters was born on December 14, 2010. But after less than 2 years of marriage, they announced in March 2012 that they were getting a divorce. Russell Peters was an engaged man and was engaged to Ruzanna Khetchian and had proposed to her in October 2016. However, the engagement ended as the pair went separate ways in 2017.

In 2018 Peters revealed via Instagram that he and his girlfriend Jennifer Andrade, who is a model and former Miss Universe Honduras, were pregnant. They welcomed a son in April 2019 named Russell Santiago Peters. This relationship too did not last and the pair broke up.
He went on to date a woman named Ali and married her on February 20, 2022. From this marriage, he became step-father to step-daughters Kaili Mackey and Kayla Mackey.

Russell Peters – Career
Early Days
Russell Peters’ career began in the year 1989. He struggled to become a successful comedian. Finally, he got his big break in 2004.
That year he performed on the Canadian TV comedy show Comedy Now! was uploaded to his YouTube channel and became viral.
In 2007, his comedy show sold out 16,000 tickets in two days for a single show and nationally sold 30,000 tickets. Over the years, his sold-out shows broke records including one show in London’s O2 Arena where he sold over 16k tickets in 2009.
Another record breaker was his show in Sydney on 15th May 2010 with an audience of 13,880 which is the largest stand-up comedy show to date in Australia. The same happened on May 5 and 6, 2012 in Singapore.

Comedy shows
He has also hosted shows and events such as Canada Day Comedy Festival 2006, and the 2008 Juno Awards (April 6, 2008). He is also a producer as well as a star of Monsoon House on CBC Radio One.
Peters has also released comedy albums Outsourced (August 26, 2006), Red, White and Brown (2008, 2009), and The Green Card Tour: Live from the O2 Arena (May 2011).
Russell Peters has also starred in several movies and films such as My Baby's Daddy, Heckler, Breakaway, Ribbit, Fifty Shades of Black, The Jungle Book, Supercon, The Clapper, and Street Justice, among others.
His autobiography co-written by his brother Clayton titled Call Me Russell was published on October 26, 2010.
