Sacha Baron Cohen is a British actor, comedian, screenwriter, and film producer. He is best known for fictional satirical characters like Ali G, Borat Sagdiyev, Brüno, Admiral General Aladeen, and Erran Morad, and adopted various accents and guises for these characters.

Sacha Baron Cohen was born on October 13, 1971, in West London. His father Gerald Baron Cohen, a clothing store owner, was born in London while his mother is Daniella Naomi, who worked as a movement instructor and was born in Israel.
His father was raised as Jewish, fluent in Hebrew and native English. His mother was a German Jew who moved to Israel. Sacha Baron Cohen has two siblings - brothers Erran Baron Cohen and Amnon Baron Cohen. Erran worked on Sacha's film as a composer.

He graduated from The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School, Elstree, Hertfordshire, and joined the University of Cambridge with history as a major.
Cohen graduated with upper second-class honors in 1993. During his college life, he participated in several plays like Fiddler on the Roof, Cyrano de Bergerac usually played at the Habonim Dror Jewish theatre.
His ethnicity is Ashkenazi-Jewish.

In 2002 at a party in Syndey, Australia, Sacha Baron Cohen met actress Isla Fisher and got engaged in 2004.
Fisher converted to Judaism and got married on 15 March 2010 in Paris, France in a Jewish ceremony. They were blessed with 3 children, son Montgomery Moses Brian Baron Cohen, and daughters Olive Cohen, and Elula Cohen.

He started a career as a fashion model. Later he hosted a weekly program on Windsor cable television. Cohen also has hosted BBC weather forecast, Pump TV, and Granada Talk TV.
He started to perform/host as Ali G in the program Da Ali G Show in 2000 in which he interviewed David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham. Cohen as Ali G also appeared in Madonna's 2000 music video Music, as a limousine driver.
He also performed as Bruno a flamboyantly gay Austrian fashion show presenter.

Cohen's acting career began with the British comedy The Jolly Boy's Last Stand in the late 1990s. Baron Cohen acted as Admiral General Aladeen, a dictator from the fictional Republic of Wadiya. He also acted as a brother of an MI6 spy in the comedy film Grimsby.

Sacha Baron Cohen and his wife donated £335,000 ($500,000) to Save the Children to vaccinate children in North Syria against measles on 28 December 2015. They presented the same amount to the International Rescue Committee to help Syrian refugees.

Cohen was awarded the Best Newcomer for The 11 O'Clock Show at the 1999 British Comedy Awards. Other awards he has won are 2 BAFTA Awards for Da Ali G Show, a Golden Globe for Best Actor for the film Borat and nominated for an Academy Award for Writing Adapted Screenplay.

Sacha Baron Cohen – Controversy, Legal issue
In 2000, Sacha Baron Cohen as Ali G interviewed Tory MP politician Neil Hamilton and offered cannabis which he accepted and smoked, resulting in a minor controversy in British media.
In 2006, during the premiere of Borat, he arrived in Leicester Square in a cart pulled by a mule and with a number of Kazakh women around him. He announced, "Good evening, gentlemen and prostitutes. After this, I stay in a hotel in Kings Cross. We will all drink, wrestle with no clothes on and shoot dogs from the window". His sense of humor was not well received.
The government of Kazakhstan threatened Baron Cohen for registering a domain "https://borat.kz" with a fake name during the 2005 MTV Europe Music Awards ceremony in Lisbon. It was removed by the authority of the country's domain registrar for violation of the law.
