Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher donates planeload of PPE to UK frontline workers

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher partnered with Salesforce mogul Marc Benioff and DGMT to donate a planeload of PPE  to front-line medical workers in the UK amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. It was revealed in an April 29 tweet by Marc Benioff.

The 20-ton equipment shipment was also made in collaboration with the Daily Mail via a new charity initiative called Mail Force with Benioff. 

The comedy star then tweeted his response, “Isla and I are so happy to have such persistent and generous partners in getting this done. Businesses please follow and get PPE in through #ProjectHope in US or #MailForce in UK.”

The shipment included 50,000 coveralls and 100,000 masks flown over from China with more equipment set to follow in the coming days. Sacha Baron Cohen is also working on Project HOPE in the US. 

Cohen and Fisher are not the only celebrities helping out during the crisis.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have donated $1 million dollars to food banks, sisters Kylie Jenner and Kris Jenner have been sending water and hand sanitizer to healthcare workers while Lady Gaga put on a One World: Together At Home concert event to encourage corporations to donate and help out during the health crisis.
