Sammy Guevara’s birth occurred on July 28, 1993, in Houston, Texas, USA. He was born Samuel George Guevara to his mother Deborah Camacho, a registered nurse in Texas while the detail of his biological father is not known. She is not the only child of her parents and has two siblings, among which he is the middle child. His older brother is nicknamed Laz while the name of his younger brother is not known.

Early Days
Guevara dreamed of being a wrestler from a young age. Growing up he watched WWE and played wrestling with his brothers. After years of training, he made his major professional debut on January 5, 2013, for the National Wrestling Alliance followed by a match in the 2017 Battle of Los Angeles tournament where he got eliminated in the quarterfinals.

He faced PWG World Champion WALTER in May 2019 and won the PWFP Ultimate Championship after defeating Raja Naveed on April 28, 2019. Sammy Guevara made his Major League Wrestling (MLW) debut on December 7, 2017. From 2018 to 2019 he was signed with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, making his debut at Verano de Escándalo 2018.
In February 2019 it was announced that he signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). With the promotion, he fought against Kip Sabian, Darby Allin, Jimmy Havoc, and Joey Janela. He formed a group called The Inner Circle along with Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Santana, and Ortiz.
Moreover, he appeared in the fourth season of Lucha Underground, MLW Fusion in 2018.

Sammy Guevara – Controversy
In June 2020 Sammy Guevara came under fire after a clip from a 2016 interview resurfaced where he suggested he wanted to “go rape” WWE Superstar Sasha Banks. The remark was made on Raw’s 4th Hour podcast and was in reference to an apparent affection he developed for Banks while at a WWE tryout. In response #SpeakingOut movement trended online with many demanding an apology from Guevara.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) also has released a statement saying they have suspended Sammy Guevara indefinitely.
