Steve Martin – Age, Parents, Siblings
Steve Martin was born Stephen Glenn Martin on August 14, 1945, in Waco, Texas, USA. His birthplace is Waco, Texas, U.S., and he was born as the son of mother Mary Lee and father Glenn Vernon Martin, a real estate salesman and aspiring actor. He has two other siblings, brother Fred Martin, and sister Melinda Martin.
He was raised by his parents in Inglewood, California but later moved to Garden Grove, California.
Education, Ethnicity
For his education, Martin joined Garden Grove High School where he was a cheerleader, and graduated in 1963. After his graduation, he joined Santa Ana College and studied Drama and English poetry there. Martin also enrolled in California State University to major in philosophy.
His ethnicity includes Scottish, Irish, German, French, Welsh, and English.

Steve Martin – Girlfriend, Wife, Daughter, Divorce
While in college, he met (now) actress Stormie Sherk and the two began dating. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, he dated actress/singer/dancer Bernadette Peters. On November 20, 1986, he married actress Victoria Tennant but soon divorced in 1994.
Martin then went to date, Anne Stringfield. After three years of relationship, he and his girlfriend married on July 28, 2007, and the wedding ceremony was held at Martin's Los Angeles home. Anne is a writer and former writer for The New Yorker.
He and his wife welcomed a daughter in December 2012. They named her Conquistador. Talking about her daughter's unique name he said, “I didn’t want to go with one of those Hollywood weird names. Conquistador is a statement.”

Steve Martin – Career
Early Days
During summer break from the year 1955 to 1958, he worked at Disneyland. When he had free time, he visited the Main Street Magic shop and there he learned some magic tricks and took up a job at Fantasyland Magic Shop. During his college days, he participated in comedies and other productions.
In 1967, he was chosen to be a writer for The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. Two years later, in 1969, at 23, he won an Emmy Award. He also wrote for John Denver, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, Van Dyke and Company, and The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour.
Martin then appeared in several shows The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, The Gong Show, On Location, The Muppet Show, and Saturday Night Live.

Over the years he has also released 12 comedy albums as of 2018. They are namely, Let's Get Small (1977), A Wild and Crazy Guy (1978), Comedy Is Not Pretty! (1979), The Steve Martin Brothers (1981), Love Has Come for You (2013), So Familiar (2015), and The Long-Awaited Album (2017).
Martin has also starred in movies including Father of the Bride (1991), Housesitter (1992), A Simple Twist of Fate (1994), The Spanish Prisoner (1997), Bowfinger (1999), Shopgirl (2005), Cheaper by the Dozen 2, The Pink Panther (2006), The Pink Panther 2, Baby Mama (2008), It's Complicated (2009), The Big Year (2011), animated film Home (2015), among others.
In addition, Martin is also a musician and learned to play banjo at the age of 17 and is still very passionate about it. Martin has even released several singles.
