Steven Wright is a comedian, film producer, and an American national.

Steven Wright was born on December 6, 1955, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the U.S.A. as Steven Alexander Wright. His mother is Lucille Wright and his father is Alexander K. Wright who worked as an electronics technician and tested “stuff” for NASA during the Apollo spacecraft program. Alexander K. Wright later worked as a truck driver.
He is not the only child of his parents and has three siblings. Steven Wright grew up in Burlington, Massachusetts but there are no facts available on his brothers and sisters.
Education, Ethnicity
For education, Steven Wright attended Middlesex Community College for an associate's degree. He studied there for two years then transferred to Emerson College, graduating in 1978.
His ethnicity includes Italian and Scottish.

Steven Wright loves to keep his private life under wraps. In fact, there is not even a single bit of information on his love life! He has not gotten into a relationship with a partner, boyfriend, or girlfriend in the public eye nor have there been rumors about his private affairs.
So, as of now, he is an unmarried man, sans wife or children, and has not experienced fatherhood. Talking about children, he said, "I don't know how my sister-in-law does it.”

However, Wright did share an incident with a former girlfriend, way back in 1986. On Late Night with Seth Meyers, he talked about the game between the Red Sox and the Mets,
“It gets to be the seventh inning and she congratulates me…and then they lose the game, they lose the World Series. So I broke up with her. If she could jinx the World Series, what else could she jinx?
Every year I call her, she lives in Chicago, and I congratulate her on the Cubs winning the World Series.”

Early Career
Wright’s career in stand-up comedy began back when he was still a student in college. His career took a good turn when he was spotted by Peter Lassally, producer of The Tonight Show at the Ding Ho comedy club. He had the golden opportunity to appear on NBC's The Tonight Show. The host Johnny Carson was so impressed with Wright that he was invited to the show a week later.

His first comedy album I Have a Pony, released in 1985 was a mass success, receiving a nomination for Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album. This was followed by the release of his other stand-up special/albums A Steven Wright Special (1985), The Appointments of Dennis Jennings (1989), Wicker Chairs and Gravity (1990), One Soldier (1999), When the Leaves Blow Away (2006), I Still Have a Pony (2007).
Over the years, Steven Wright has appeared in A Steven Wright Special, Mad About You (1992), Reservoir Dogs, So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993), and Natural Born Killers (1994), among others.
Apart from being a comedian, actor, director, and producer he is also a musician and has a great interest in painting.
